Christmas Party

Merry Christmas!!! This year we decided to have our Holiday party at our factory in Boulder City. We played Christmas music, had our food catered in, and we were even visited by Santa Claus! The kids’ biggest question was whether or not Santa came in his sleigh pulled by reindeer. We decided not to let the children see Santa drive away in his Chevrolet. Every one seemed to enjoy them selves and have a good time. We celebrated the great year we had the even better one we hope to have this year. We hope all of our customers had a Happy Holidays!

Getting To Know Us

Here at American Biffy Company we pride ourselves on having a friendly and personable staff. In an effort to let our customers get to know us better we are going to tell you a little bit about a few of our employees. Dayton is the first employee we are introducing you to. Dayton is the only grandson of the owner and inventor of the Biffy bidet, Warren Smith. He is five years old, and therefore spends a lot of his day in kindergarten, much to his dismay. If Dayton had his way he would already being running his own business and working full time. He is a bundle of energy and very pleasant to have around. Working with tools and learning about the forklift are of couple of Dayton’s favorite things. As a matter of fact, he was very interested in watching the forklift training video. For his picture we let him pose on the forklift wearing his UPS hat (a gift from our UPS man, who lets Dayton help him scan the packages).

Halloween

At American Biffy Company we love our Biffy bidets, however sometimes we need a break from the everyday life of making and selling our product. Therefore, we are always looking for ways to make work a little more fun and exciting. Halloween is a great excuse for us here at Biffy to show a different side of ourselves. Being a close knit company made up of family and friends, we put a group of us together for a fun photo of our different costumes. Cherylann and Joe, the evil queen and grim reaper, are the head and long-time employee of our warehouse department. Brandy and Brittany, a.k.a. Dorothy and the evil princess, work in the front as our general manager and in our marketing department, respectively. Last, but certainly not least, we have Rebecca and Dayton, Hermione and Jack Sparrow, as the supervisors of Biffy. Well, at least that is what we tell them, they are the grandchildren of the owner and inventor of the Biffy Personal Rinse bidet, Warren Smith. I hope you enjoyed this piece of information about some of the workers here that make up American Biffy Company. We all look forward to showing our fun sides to you a little more often in the coming months.

Our New Line

At American Biffy Company we are completely committed to your health and cleanliness. We started with our Biffy Personal Bidet, and have also brought you products such as our Ambient Warmer. In an effort to expand our product line, even more, we are introducing Hygenica Bath body wash and body lotion. The Brain Behind the Biffy

In the past blog you heard us talk about the doctor that invented the Biffy. Now we want you to learn a little bit about the person who invented a product who has changed the lives of thousands. Dr. Warren L. Smith is one of the founders of Family Doctors of Boulder City, where he has remained in practice since 1980. He graduated from University of Arizona School of Medicine, after which he served his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Smith has been certified and recertified as a family physician by the American Board of Family Practice since 1980. Though he maintains his practice in Boulder City, Nevada, he is also licensed to practice medicine in Utah, California, and Arizona.Dr. Smith is trained to perform comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. He is also trained and certified to perform many in-office surgical procedures, including vasectomies. He is one of Nevada’s foremost doctors in performing colonoscopies and EGDs. So, as you can see the invention of the Biffy is just one more way Dr. Smith has found to change people’s lives for the better.

The Start of the Biffy

Biffy? Many people ask how and why we came up with such a different name and product. Well, the story starts 8 years ago with a doctor trying to improve the quality of cleanliness for a patient. A young boy who was born with congenital Phycomelia, a condition which means he has no arms below the elbows, had a difficult time cleaning himself. So, Dr. Smith started thinking of ways that he could help this boy clean himself after using the restroom, and the Biffy was born. After coming up with the contraption he realized that this was not only good for the disabled, but for everyone, because we all want and need to be clean. The next step was to name this new invention, and that idea also came from a patient. Dr. Smith has a British patient who excused herself one day to go use the biffy. What is a biffy? The patient explained that over in England that is one of the names they use for bathroom. He liked the name so much, and thought it so unique that he decided that would be the name of his new invention. The original Biffy was a rough version of the sleek Biffy we now offer. However, it did help out the patient it was intended to as well as start us on the track to where we are now. The Biffy has seen many design changes and mechanical improvements, but from the beginning to now everyone who has used one will tell you “I love my Biffy”.

The Biffy makes it Easy to be Clean!

Biffy has many loyal customers who have supported us for years. They understand why we love and believe in our product so much, because they love the Biffy as much as we do! Everyday that our sales grow we are getting more and more loyal customers who agree, "I love my Biffy". So, we want all our customers, especially the ones who have been with us for so long, to see inside Biffy a little, and meet the people who hand pick every part for your Biffy. We will be posting things about our customer service staff as well as our assembling team. But, it won't end there, we will also post a little on the life of the inventor of the Biffy. In addition, there will be articles, updates, and links to all things related to the Biffy, such as bathroom renovations, new items brought to the bathroom market and, of course, personal hygiene.
